Civil Arrest Warrant

A Civil Arrest can only occur with a Warrant or other written directive from the court.  The court of record has the power to punish for civil contempt; most commonly where a party has disobeyed a subpoena.  The Warrant must be directed to the Sheriff and explicitly direct the Sheriff to arrest the identified person and bring them before the court.  The court index number must appear on the Warrant.
